The World s First DDR Motherboard To Pass AMD 1.4GHz Athlon
Validation: FIC s AD11
Taipei, June 7th, 2001- FIC s premium DDR motherboard, the
1stMainboard AD11, is the world s first motherboard to be approved
by AMD to support its 1.4 GHz Athlon. The AD11 was already
something of a record-breaker. In January, 1stMainboard s AD11
became the very first motherboard to be recommended by AMD to run
with Double Data Rate (DDR) memory. Having won 6 major awards and
widespread praise in the computer industry with the AD11, FIC has
now gone one step further by ensuring reliable operation at 1.4GHz.
"AMD s validation of the AD11 as the first board to support 1.4GHz
Athlons at 266MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) is a recognition of FIC s
commitment to consistently push boundaries of system performance,"
commented Gene Sheu, President of FIC s Networking and Information
Group. "The 1stMainboard AD11, in combination with a 1.4GHz AMD
Athlon CPU and DDR memory, provides the ultimate solution for users
who demand the very highest levels of performance and stability."
