In 2023, Roy Englert, a World War II Navy veteran, participated in the National Senior Games and achieved victory by winning a gold medal in the 400-meter event, just one year shy of his 100th birthday. In addition, he was chosen as a Humana Game Changer, an accolade bestowed upon sportsmen who embody the concept of maintaining good health as they age. However, Englert did not start out as a runner. Indeed, he did not acquire this skill until reaching the age of 60, thus demonstrating that it is never too late to embark on a new endeavor. "The reason why I have lived for a long time is because I have been consistently active throughout my entire life. I have been a competitive runner for 40 years," Englert said when questioned about the key to his long life. "All of my doctors have advised me to continue with whatever I am currently doing." 

Risa Igelfeld is 106.5 years old

When questioned about her precise age, Risa geometry dash responds that she is 106 and a half, since she believes that every little portion of life is significant. Igelfeld, as a survivor of the Holocaust, has endured experiences that beyond the imagination of most individuals. However, according to her, the key to her longevity lies in her commitment to "positive thinking." 

"Positive thinking is the utmost priority in my life, and I aspire for it to hold the same significance in the lives of others as well." Eliminate any pessimistic thinking. "It will provide you with vitality and extend your lifespan," she said, further stating that in times of adversity, she occupies herself with "enumerating [her] gratitudes" instead. 

Similar to the other individuals who are over 100 years old that we interviewed, Igelfeld emphasized the need of maintaining an active lifestyle for as long as possible. For her, this is dedicating time to the community she cultivated via Jewish Family Service and at Cafe Europa, where she gathers with friends on a weekly basis to engage in activities such as singing, dancing, and fostering communication among one another. The experience is very fantastic.
