Mike let me know that info on Intel s plans for taking on Athlon 64 have turned up. They will battle Clawhammer with a 3.4GHz Prescott.
It compares two Clawhammers, at speeds of 1.60GH-1.70GHz one with 1MB of L2 cache and the other with 256K of L2 cache at clock speeds above 2GHz, with Northwood Pentium 4s up to 3.20GHz GHz.
