QUICKGUIDE: HOW TO UPDATE F/W OF MX-DS SSD?
MX Technology has released version 2.36 for the MX-DS TURBO/FUSION Series SSDs on 10/6.
All users are recommended to update their firmware!
WARNING: SINCE F/W UPDATE IS POTENTIALLY RISKY, MX TECHNOLOGY RECOMMENDS ALWAYS
BACKING UP DATA BEFORE STARTING SSD FIRMWARE UPDATE!
EASY STEPS TO UPDATE MX-Technology MX-DS TURBO/FUSION series SSD’s FIRMWARE:
1. Download firmware upgrade utility: MX_DST_FW_FieldUpdater_2.36_1006
2. Turn on the PC, enter BIOS and enable ACHI mode before starting the update!
3. Unzip MX_DST_FW_FieldUpdater_2.36_1006.rar and right click on MX_SATA3_Rev.2.exe
and run as administrator. This launches the utility.
4. The tool will scan the SSD drive automatically and your drive shall be detected.
5. First select the SSD and then click “Update Firmware” button.
6. Select MX-236.ffp file and click “Open File” button.
7. Click “Proceed” to continue with firmware download.
8. When you see this symbol in the box, the updated has been successfully completed.
9. Close MX DS FIELD UPDATER tool and reopen it as admin.
Your SSD shall show the latest firmware version.
10. Please restart your OS after successfully loading
11. Repeat the procedure in case multiple drives are upgraded.
