SiS, Athlon 64 지원 그래픽내장 SiS 760 발표

세계적인 코어로직 제조, 공급사인 대만의 SiS사에서는, 9월 22일 SiS 755에 이어 Athlon 64를 지원하는 통합칩셋인 SiS 760을 발표하였다. SiS 760은 기존의 Athlon 64 지원 칩셋인 SiS 755에 내장 그래픽 기능을 더한 제품으로 SiS 755와 동일하게 Athlon 64 / Opteron을 지원한다.

SiS 760에 내장된 Ultra 256 그래픽 코어는 픽셀 쉐이더 1.3을 지원해 하드웨어적으로 다이렉트 8.1을 지원하며 듀얼 디스플레이 기능을 가지고 있다. SiS 760은 AMD의 UMA 아키텍쳐와 SiS의 고유기술인 LFB (Local Frame Buffer)를 동시에 지원한다.

SiS 760의 사우스브릿지로는 8개의 USB포트와 5.1채널 서라운드 사운드, V.90모뎀지원, 이더넷지원이 가능하며, SiS180칩을 내장시켜 SerialATA를 통한 RAID 0과 RAID 1 그리고 JBOD를 지원하는 SiS 964가 사용된다.
