nVIDIA는 자사의 GPU를 통해 기존보다 높은 퀄리티의 영상을
제공할수 있는 새로운 기술인 PureVIDEO을 공개한 상태인데 이를 위해 필요한 PureVIDEO 디코더 프로그램의 최신 버전을
공개하였다.
이번에 공개된 PureVIDEO 디코더는
PureVideo Decoder 1.02-150 BETA Platinum 버전으로 NZone을 통해 공개된 베타버전이다.
nVIDIA의 PureVIDEO 디코더는 상용버전임으로 60일간
무료로 사용이 가능하지만 그 이후에는 정식으로 등록을 해야 사용이 가능하다.
이번 버전의 특징 및 지원 하드웨어는 아래와 같다.

- Compatibility fixes for Windows XP Media Center 2005 Update
- Windows Media Player 10 and Media Center Edition, added seamless playback
of ATSC and DVB transport streams in both SD and HD formats.
- Improved the smoothness of HD MPEG-2 material for Windows Media Player 10.
- Windows Media Encoder 9 - added support for UVYV output formats
- Set Smart de-interlacing control setting as the new default.
- Implemented a method for catching bad edits (gapping time stamps) from 3-2
film, and soften them in Smart mode. This helps eliminate the combing effect
in some scenes of the "Making of the Big Lebowski".
- Implemented support for inverse 2-2 mode.

- Windows Media Center or Windows Media® Player 9.0 or higher for DVD
Playback
- DirectShow compatible software for MPEG-2 file playback
- A DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) compatible graphics processor, such as
GeForce 7800 GTX.
- DVD-ROM drive required for DVD viewing
- TV Tuner is required for TV viewing under Windows Media Center and must
meet the Designed for Windows XP Media Center Edition logo
