사용자들 사이에 논란이 되어왔던 마이크로소프트(MS) 오피스 2013의 라이센스가 최초로 설치/ 인증받은 PC에 연동된다는 정책이 바뀌게 되었다.(Office 2013 and Office 365 installations and transferability)
3월 6일 MS의 오피스 블로그를 통해 밝힌 바에 따르면, 오피스 2013의 새로운 라이센스 정책이 공개된 후 사용자들의 피드백을 통해 최초로 설치/ 인증 받은 PC의 문제나 새로운 PC 구매와 같은 이유로, 기존 PC에서 오피스 2013을 삭제하고 새로운 PC에 기존 오피스 2013을 설치할 수 있게 되었다.
새로운 라이센스 정책은 오피스 Home and Student 2013/ Home and Business 2013/ Professional 2013을 비롯해 단품 오피스 2013 프로그램들에 바로 적용되며, 라이센스 문서는 차후 업데이트될 예정이다.
기존 라이센스 정책하에서는, 보증 기간 이내에 오피스 2013이 설치된 PC에 문제가 발생했을 때만 다른 PC로 라이센스 이동이 가능했으며, 새롭게 바뀌는 오피스 2013의 라이센스 관련 내용은 다음과 같다.

Updated transferability provision to the Retail License Terms of the Software License Agreement for Microsoft Office 2013 Desktop Application Software:
Can I transfer the software to another computer or user?
You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you, but not more than one time every 90 days (except due to hardware failure, in which case you may transfer sooner).
If you transfer the software to another computer, that other computer becomes the "licensed computer."
You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement before the transfer.
Any time you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer and you may not retain any copies. | |
